The Last Heartbeat

The melancholy blond boy "Kara" (played by Matthias Schweighöfer) is a professional ambulance worker who saves lives and wounds. He is kind and sensitive and always keeps to himself. The eye-catching scar on his face is always an indelible reminder of the serious car accident that happened when Kera was seven years old. The car accident caused Kera to lose all his relatives and it also became a permanent pain for him. During the rescue work, he always blamed himself and grieved for the lives he missed, until he met a pregnant woman named "November" (Jessica Schwarz) during an unexpected rescue. She always appeared in Kara's dreams, opening her warm embrace to him. Soon, the two fell in love, and November made Kara understand what happiness is. However, on the way to the hospital for delivery in November, unfortunate fate gave Kera an unexpected ending. The stunning work "The Last Heartbeat" directed by emerging German director Derek Horsmann won the Bavarian Film Festival's Best New Actor and Best Actress Double Acting Awards, and won the Taipei Film Festival Audience Choice Award for Best Film and many other awards.
