The Family Man (plot commentary)

In 1987, the smug Jack Campbell (Nicolas Cage) bid farewell to his girlfriend Kate (Téa Leoni) and went to New York to work alone. Thirteen years later, Jack has become a popular investment broker on Wall Street. His career is going smoothly, he lives a luxurious life, and he is surrounded by beautiful women. He is like a flawless and successful person. However, just two days before Christmas Eve, Jack's life changed drastically. When he woke up, he found himself in his hometown in New Jersey. Kate became his wife, and the two had two lovely children. Jack's new and opposing life leaves him at a loss as to what to do, and he will eventually make a choice between money and family ties... The film won the 2001 American Science Fiction and Horror Film Academy Award for Best Actress (Téa Leoni) and the 2001 Young Artist Award for Best Performance (Makenzie Vega).
