The story takes place in the world's metropolis, New York. Four women with different identities and backgrounds, Tang Pan, Ling Feng and He Xiaoou, came to New York to realize their dreams because of their respective wishes. They started from the lowest point of their careers, experienced the vicissitudes of life in a foreign country, faced difficult choices in love and life, and finally achieved their dreams in life. Tang Pan came to the United States from mainland China alone. While studying fashion design at the New York Fashion Institute of Technology, he struggled to find his missing lover, the painter Xun Dalu. Through his own efforts, Tang Pan eventually became a famous fashion designer, and Ling Feng, Ling Jie, He Xiaoou and others also started their own different stories in New York.
