Old Tavern

In the Northeast from 1928 to 1949, Chen Huaihai, a little man who came to the Northeast to "break through the Guandong", dug and discussed life in the deep mountains and old forests of the Northeast. However, he unexpectedly suffered the hardships of his son and daughter being separated and his wife being cheated away. He had to come to Dalian under Japanese colonial rule to open a tavern to make a living. The old tavern has thus become a stage where information from all directions and people of all colors gather. Chen Huaihai, who was benevolent and righteous and resentful of evil, used this stage to protect "Old Beifeng" who killed the Japanese military police, persuaded Brigadier Ma of the Northeast Army to return to the anti-Japanese battlefield, denounced the Manchu elders who whitewashed the puppet Manchukuo, dueled with Japanese ronin, and supported the Chinese people. The underground party organization of the CCP sent Gu Sanmei into the old tavern and turned it into an underground transportation station for the party. Under the influence of Gu Sanmei, Chen Huaihai's daughter Xiaomianxiao became an anti-Japanese traffic officer. On the eve of Dalian's liberation, Chen Huaihai helped Gu Sanmei smash the Japanese plan to destroy the city. Together they ushered in the liberation of Dalian and gained true love.
