Where is Happiness

The story takes place in the summer of 1978, Xiang Yuan (Wang Lei) His ambition is to become a chef, but his father, a professor, hopes that his son can take the college entrance examination and become a college student. Just when Xiangyuan was having the most quarrel with his family because of future issues, he met a beautiful girl named Mai Qiu (played by Zeng Yongxing). Mai Qiu's mother betrothed her to a family, but Mai Qiu, who was progressive in thinking, placed her ideals on the university campus. Just like these two people with completely opposite life trajectories, they fell in love. Although this relationship was strongly opposed by their parents, the two still never looked back. By chance, Xiang Yuan obtained important documents on the city's college entrance examination work arrangements. Unknowingly, Xiang Yuan mixed the documents with review materials and lent them to Mai Qiu. At this time, Xiang Yuan did not know that his move would forever change the fate of him and Mai Qiu's family.
