The Pretender

The story takes place during the critical stage of the Anti-Japanese War. The Wang Puppet Government surrendered to the enemy and treason, the people of China were in dire straits, and the fate of the descendants of Yan and Huang was at stake. Ming Jing (played by Liu Mintao), the chairman of Shanghai Ming's Enterprise, is sincere and secretly funds the Chinese Communist Party. Her younger brother Minglou (played by Jin Dong) serves as an agent in the military command and his whereabouts are mysterious. The siblings' younger brother Mingtai (played by Hu Ge) is a well-educated poet and has no interest in politics. However, on his way to Hong Kong, he is kidnapped and recruited by Wang Tianfeng, a high-ranking military official. In desperation, Mingtai could only receive training incognito, and eventually became an agent at the Shanghai Station of the Military Command.
