In U.C. (Universal Century) 0079, humans developed into the universe and built multiple huge satellites to allow humans to live in the universe. The residents of the satellite couldn't bear the exploitation and oppression of the Earth Federal Government, so they declared their independence and even formed an army to compete with the Earth Federal Government. During the war, both sides developed mobile suits and put them on the battlefield. NEWTYPE boy Amuro Ray accidentally piloted the newly developed Mobile Suit Gundam by the Federation Army, got involved in what was later called the "One Year War", and met his old enemy Char Aznable.
