Ghost in the Shell: Rise 1

This is a little-known but far-reaching story on the eve of the establishment of Ghost in the Shell. One day on June 6, 2027, Lieutenant Colonel Mamuro (voiced by Atsushi Miyauchi), who belonged to the 501 organization of the Army's secret force, was killed on a busy street. He had been involved in a bribery scandal in the arms trade and had to get out. He knew that there were countless mysteries hidden behind his death. On a rainy night, the head of Public Security Section 9, Daisuke Aramaki (voiced by Ichiku Juku), who is trying to retrieve Mamuro's electronic computer, and the cyborg Motoko Kusanagi (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto) meet for the first time at Mamuro Nakasa's graveyard. At this time, Kusanagi was still a soldier in charge of investigating cybercrime for the 501 agency. During this trip, she hoped to find out the truth behind the injustice and murder of the much-respected Lieutenant Colonel. Unexpectedly, the Lieutenant Colonel in the coffin had already disappeared. After that, she was commissioned by Aramaki to launch an investigation, and during a series of dangerous pursuits, she met Bart (voiced by Kenichiro Matsuda), a former member of the special forces, and Togusa (voiced by Tarusuke Aragaki), who was a criminal police officer in Shinhama Prefecture at the time.
