Evangelion New Theatrical Version: Preface

After the "Second Impact", the catastrophe that struck the world, the world was rebuilt on the ruins. The 14-year-old boy Ikari Shinji was called to New Tokyo 3 by his father Ikari Gento. He thought he would be greeted by his father, but instead he saw a huge creature named "Apostle" exchanging fire with the army. Under the crisis, Misato Katsuragi of the secret service agency NERV rescued Shinji and took him to the NERV headquarters led by Ikari Gento. But what greeted Shinji was his father's cold order: drive a giant humanoid robot called "EVA" to fight the apostles. Shinji, who had already refused, decided to obey his father's order after seeing the seriously injured substitute driver Ayanami Rei. In this way, Shinji, who has never received combat training, prepares to drive EVA Unit 1 to face the apostles. The fate of the world is entrusted to a 14-year-old boy, and the "Human Completion Plan" hidden in the "Second Impact" seems to have begun action.
