One morning, ordinary boy Jim Lake Jr. stumbled upon a magical amulet on his way to school, and thus broke into the world of trolls beneath the surface of Arcadia. Jim is strong-willed and adventurous, but unprepared for the responsibilities he will take on. Jim is forced to accept the noble title of Troll Hunter and swear to protect the trolls and help them resist the attack of powerful enemies eager for revenge. He is the first human to win this honor, but he must adapt to this strange transformation: one moment he is an ordinary student worrying about the daily affairs of high school, and the next moment he becomes a participant in a super war that lasts for centuries. This war threatens not only all troll creatures, but even the very existence of humanity. Fortunately, he has a group of close human friends and a few good troll allies.
