Tokyo Cinderella

Yukiko Matsui (Eimi Wakui) came to the metropolis Tokyo from a seaside town ) is a girl full of fantasy. Although she lives an ordinary and boring life, she often dreams of becoming the heroine in romantic stories. When picking up her brother Kikuo (played by Goro Kishitani), Yukiko accidentally meets the handsome Takagi Masashi (played by Karasawa Touaki). Takagi is the son of the president of a large company, and he is very different from Yukiko. However, even so, it cannot prevent pure love from taking root in the hearts of the two. Their road ahead is full of ups and downs and thorns, but they keep moving forward in order to taste the sweetness of love... The film won the third (1994) Japanese Drama Academy Awards for Best Actress (Eimi Wakui), Best Supporting Actor (Goro Kishitani) and Best Supporting Actress (Mayu Tsuruta).
