The Lady in the Van

The story takes place in London, England in 1977. An old lady named Shepherd (Maggie Smith) drove her grandfather's car to a middle-class community here. Shepherd has no home and eats, drinks and poops in her car. In other words, in the eyes of others, she is a dirty and smelly homeless person. The middle class people living in this community relied on their excellent upbringing to tolerate Ms. Shepherd's intrusion. However, their kindness and tolerance did not earn Mrs. Shepherd's good looks. This stubborn and stubborn old lady made the people living here suffer a lot. Over time, no one paid attention to Mrs. Shepherd anymore, except for a seemingly naive playwright Alan (Alex Jennings). Not only did he greet Mrs. Shepherd with a smile every day, he even allowed her to occupy the driveway of his home for parking.
