Giulio (played by Marcello Mastroianni) has reached middle age, but his charm has only increased. He is naturally romantic and often has female companions around him, and he lives a wanton and free life. One day, Julio met a young female student named Francesca (played by Nastassja Kinski). Francesca's simplicity and kindness attracted Julio's attention. How could the ignorant girl who had just begun to fall in love resist the temptation of the "experienced" Giulio?
