The Fattening Bride

Verida is a modern girl who works in a beauty salon, is addicted to social media, and also likes to hang out with friends. But she wants to marry a man arranged by her parents. Like other girls of her age, she must follow local customs and gain weight crazily before marriage, because under old Mauritanian customary standards, a plump body represents a woman's beauty, charm, wealth and social status. As the wedding approaches, Verida continues to gain weight, but she begins to question the so-called standards and try to find the people, lifestyle, and most importantly, her own body that she truly loves.
