"The Comedian" tells the story of three women, Jacelle, Consul and Dominique. Apart from being colleagues and crossing the border to work in neighboring countries together every day, they have nothing in common. In order to live a decent life in Roubaix, they crossed the border to Belgium and worked as prostitutes on the other side. This double life was their secret. At the end of the summer, the three women met to support each other, just as the Resistance would cheer each other up. Rotterdam Film Festival 2020 – Voices Section
