Luce 2019

Amy (Naomi Watts) and Pete (Tim Roth) are a wealthy and kind-hearted middle-class couple. Ten years ago, they adopted a boy named Luce (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) from the war-torn African country of Eritrea. Luce was once a child soldier and received very cruel military training. Amy and Pete firmly believe that a good education and tolerant love can help him find his kind nature. Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye, and Luce has grown into an upright and promising young man without any danger. The mark left on him in the past has faded away. Luce's African-American teacher Hallett (Octavia Spencer) admires this student very much and believes that he can change people's stereotypes about African countries and races.
