The King and His Son are dying

Rosencrantz (played by Gary Oldman) and Guildenstern (played by Tim Roth) are two minor characters in Shakespeare's famous play "Hamlet". This film looks at this tragedy from their actions. On their way back to Elsinore, Denmark, a lot of strange things happened to the two of them. For example, the coin thrown by Rosencrantz always ended up with one side up, and they met a strange theater troupe. They came to the palace and met the king and queen. The queen asked them to get close to Prince Hamlet and find out the reason for his depression. So they recommended the troupe to the prince. So the prince used the troupe to stage a story about killing his brother to usurp the throne and marry his sister-in-law, which made the king extremely unhappy. The king then ordered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to secretly take the prince to England for execution. Unexpectedly, Hamlet accidentally discovered the letters between the two and learned that he was about to be killed... The film is adapted from the play of the same name.
