Tangshan Earthquake

On the night of July 27, 1976, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 broke out in the Tangshan area. Houses collapsed and countless victims were affected. Facing a dangerous building that is about to collapse, husband Fang Daqiang (played by Zhang Guoqiang) and wife Li Yuanni (played by Xu Fan) have to rescue the trapped twins Fang Deng (played by Zhang Zifeng) and Fang Da (played by Zhang Jiajun). At the critical moment, Fang Daqiang stopped his wife and died while rushing in to rescue her. After the earthquake, Li Yuanni discovered that a pair of children were trapped at both ends of a cement slab. If they wanted to rescue them, one of them would have to sacrifice their lives. In desperation, she made a difficult choice - to save her brother. This incident became an indelible pain in Fang Deng's heart. Later, she was adopted by soldier Wang Deqing (played by Chen Daoming) and his wife. After the college entrance examination, Fang Deng (played by Zhang Jingchu) entered Hangzhou Medical College and fell in love with his graduate student brother Yang Zhi (played by Lu Yi)... Fang Da was rescued but broke his arm. Li Yuanni raised him with selfless maternal love. As an adult, Fangda (played by Li Chen) went to Hangzhou to make a living, married his wife Xiaohe (played by Wang Ziwen), and started a career. 32 years later, the fate of this family overlapped again because of the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake...
