Christmas Vacation

The story begins with Lieutenant Charles Mason preparing to go home for Christmas. Mason's plane had to make a temporary landing due to bad weather when passing through New Orleans. In the hotel, he was dragged by a reporter he met by chance to the nightclub Lafayette House, where he met the showgirl Jackie Lamont (played by Deanna Durbin). During the conversation with the showgirl, Mason learned that the other party's real name was Abigail Monette, the wife of Robert Monette (Gene Kelly), the murderer three years ago. Accompanied by the rainy weather, Abigail told Mason bit by bit how she and her husband met and fell in love, and how their once happy marriage was stained with blood and gradually disintegrated.
