Uruguay is ruled by a military dictatorship. One autumn night, three Tupamaro prisoners were taken from their cells in a covert military operation. The order was precise: "Because we can't kill them, let's go crazy." The three men were to be held in solitary confinement for twelve years. Among them was José Mujica - who later became President of Uruguay.
