The Missing King

Sally Hawkins will star together with Steve Coogan in the new film "The Missing King" directed by "The Queen" and "Philomena" director Stephen Frears. Coogan co-wrote the script with Jeff Pope ([Philomena]). The film is adapted from real events and tells the story of Philippa Langley (played by Hawkins) who takes on the task of finding the remains of Richard III, who has been missing for more than 500 years, but her persistence is ridiculed by many people. In 2012, she took the lead in digging up the skeleton of Richard III from beneath a car park in Leicestershire, England. Langley's role is often overlooked in global media coverage. Coogan will play Langley's husband.
