After the Wedding

Julianne Moore will star in the new version of Susanna Bier's After the Wedding. The new film is directed by Bart Freundlich, her husband, and the story will be reconstructed as a story about two female protagonists in New York (the original two male protagonists were Mads Mikkelsen and Rolf Lasgaard [doge]). Moore will play Theresa Young, a wealthy woman who successfully runs a media company. After meeting Isabel, her life has undergone unexpected changes. Isabel, who ran an orphanage in Calcutta, India, came to the United States in search of a donor. Cornerstone Films will trade the project at the European Film Market at the Berlin Film Festival, starting this spring.
