Hitler's Boy

In Germany in 1942, 17-year-old Friedrich (Max Riemelt) worked hard to train himself, dreaming of joining a Nazi training camp one day. After passing numerous exams, he was given the opportunity, but his father strongly opposed it, so he forged his father's signature on the paperwork, successfully became a member of the training camp, and began arduous training every day. Among them, he met Albrecht (played by Tom Schilling), the son of a German military officer, and the two established a deep friendship. However, Albrecht was not keen on the Nazis, but preferred literature and writing. Albrecht's father hoped that his son would become a Nazi officer like him, and the two had constant conflicts. In the training camp, Friedrich and Albrecht discovered many ugly phenomena, and Friedrich's faith began to be shaken. And during a water training, Albrecht never came out of the water again... This film won the 2003 German Film Award for Best Original Screenplay.
