Stewart: Rewinding Life

◎ Introduction In a gripping way, it tells the story of the life of a man named Shi Duhua, who has multiple identities such as a thief, a hostage-taker, a mentally ill person and a vagrant. In addition to depicting his vivid and bohemian life with numerous criminal records, it also brings out the shocking aspects of violence, drugs, prisons and crime in the British lower society. It depicts Stuart's failed and down-to-earth life with extremely realistic and almost cruel realistic techniques. But what is surprising is that neither the author nor Stewart narrated the sad life fragments in a sad or self-pitying tone. Instead, they recounted them in an interesting tone, making the whole book full of lively and vivid rhythms amidst the rich sadness. This is the most unique and attractive part of this work.
