The new Madame Bovary

Gemma (Gemma Arterton) and her husband Charlie (Jason Flemyng) ) have been married for many years. They live in a small town with gentle and simple folk customs, and their days pass slowly in peace. Charlie is a carpenter with a very introverted personality, while Gemma is a painter. Although Charlie takes good care of Gemma on weekdays, Gemma always longs for feelings as fierce as a storm in her heart. One day, Gemma was stung by a wasp in the wild and fainted. Martin (Fabrice Luchini) and Blessini (Edith Scob) passed by and sent Gemma to the hospital. Later, Gemma reunited with Martin on the street, and the latter invited her to play at his home. In this way, Martin and Gemma collided with a spark of illicit love.
