Master of None

Kurt (played by Tom Schilling)'s aunt was once sent to a concentration camp, and eventually died unfortunately under the torture of the Nazi doctor Karl (played by Sebastian Koch). Although Kurt was lucky enough to escape to West Germany before the Berlin Wall was built, he lived in the shadow of the Nazis throughout his childhood, which caused great trauma to his personality. After that, Kurt entered the Dusseldorf Academy of Fine Arts. Unable to get out of the shadow of the past, he spread his inner despair and pain on the canvas. By chance, Kurt met a girl named Avery (Paula Beer). The beautiful and lively Avery gradually healed Kurt's inner scars. When the two plucked up the courage to take the relationship one step further, they were strongly opposed by Avery's father.
