Silent Journey

Farbaf, who studied under Abbas, is the directorial debut of the 26-year-old Farbaf. The story begins with a couple having a late-night quarrel, leaving the little boy Asha alone at home. In the early morning, the sad news came that his parents had died in a car accident, so he had to be taken back to Tehran by his uncles who communicated in sign language. There was silence among the three people and the car. Should the adults "tell" the news of the death to the children? It is a road movie that does not rely on language and is better in silence than sound. It has wonderful scene management and a delicate and humanistic presentation.
