Life After Death

Robert (played by Stephen Murray) is a very wealthy man. His son Simon (played by Nigel Patrick) unfortunately died in the war, which plunged Robert and his wife Joan (played by Beatrice Campbell) into deep grief. In order to commemorate his dead son, Robert decided to spend a huge sum of money to build a local memorial hall for Simon. This move caused dissatisfaction among the local residents. Robert's daughter-in-law Angela (played by Sally Gray) left Robert's home after her husband died in the war and stayed away from this sad place. Now, she has got rid of the shadow of the past and comes together with the nephew of the local aristocrat Lord Clandon (played by Seymour Hicks). Of course, she didn't have the guts to tell Robert about it.
