Narcissus

Irish fisherman Syracuse (Colin Farrell) picked up a mysterious and beautiful woman from the sea, named Odin (Alicja Bachleda). Syracuse placed the unwilling Odin in his mother's old seaside house, and unexpectedly discovered that Odin brought good luck to his fishing boat. Syracuse daughter Annie (Alison Barry) suffers from kidney failure and lives with her alcoholic mother Maura (Dervla Kirwan) and her boyfriend. Anne formed a strong friendship with Odin. She believed that Odin was a seal girl in Scottish mythology. After burying her seal skin ashore, she could live on land for seven years until her seal husband came to take her back to the depths of the sea. Syracuse and Odin really love each other, but he has been half-confident about Odin's true identity until a black-haired man mysteriously appears and wants to take Odin away... The film was nominated for the Irish Film and Television Association's Best Costume Design, Best Director, Best Film and Best Screenplay Awards, and won Best Actor (Colin Farrell), Best Supporting Actress (Deura Key)
