In 1929 in Britain, Mrs. Whitaker (played by Kristin Scott Thomas) is the head of an aristocratic family. She manages the housework carefully and balances her husband (Colin Firth). ) and her two daughters. However, everything was broken by the return of the eldest son John Whitaker (Ben Barnes).
