Death at Sea

An accident caused the Chinese girl Lotus (played by Anna Wong) to meet the American Allen (played by Kenneth Harlan). Allen had just escaped from a terrible shipwreck. The kind-hearted Lotus took in and took care of Allen. As time went by, the two gradually came together. Lianhua wholeheartedly hoped that Allen would take her back to the United States after she recovered. However, family changes made Allen unable to take care of Lianhua and returned to China in a hurry. After Allen left, Lianhua found out that she was pregnant with his child. Lianhua decided to give birth to the child and raise it alone, regardless of everyone's opposition and ridicule. During this process, Lianhua wrote countless letters to Allen, but they all fell to nothing. Finally, Allen appeared in front of Lotus again, but with him was Allen's wife.
