Gun Lala's Gun

This film introduces the growth story of Gun Lala (played by Wang Jidao), a Miao boy from the only tribe in my country who carries a gun. In the Miao tribe in southwest my country, there are many ethnic customs passed down from generation to generation. For example, boys must undergo a coming-of-age ceremony, and when they reach a certain age, they will receive a shotgun as a gift from their father to indicate that they have grown up. Gun Lala has been dependent on his grandma (played by Shi Ming's mother) since he was a child. He has never seen his father. He asked his grandma more than once where his father was, but she was prevaricated every time. Now he has reached the age of fifteen, but his impoverished family really cannot afford the 500 yuan for making guns, so he goes out alone to look for his father. On the way, he met his good friend Jia Guwang (played by Gun Dangyuan). The two were once close friends in times of need. Unexpectedly, Jia Guwang died the next day, and Gun Lala personally sent his friend to the Paradise. Grandma bought him a gun with the silver jewelry she had saved all her life, and gave it to him as a shotgun that was supposed to be a gift from his father. Only then did he realize that he was just an abandoned child...
