Caramel

The story takes place in a beauty salon in Lebanon and revolves around the daily life of five women. Rayari (Nadine Labaki), Nisiri and Rima work in the same beauty salon, Jameel is their regular customer, and Rose, a seamstress near the beauty salon, lives with her elderly and demented sister Lily. They have different ages, different personalities, and different life experiences. They have their own unique stories. Rayari was in trouble because he fell in love with a married man and had to face his unknowing wife; Nisiri's wedding was about to happen, but he decided to go to the hospital for a hymen repair operation; Rima was a lesbian and had a crush on a beautiful customer; James, who was once an actor, could not accept his aging day by day; and the old Rose gave up love because she had to take care of her sister. Stories are intertwined together, like caramel, sweet and lingering, but also bitter...
