Cupid-Hand

The film is a three-part theme (love and sex) film co-directed by three directors: Michelangelo Antonioni ("Danger"), Steven Soderbergh ("Balance") and Wong Kar-Wai ("Hand"). "Hand" tells the story of Hong Kong in the 1960s. A young tailor (Chang Chen) has been in love with a social butterfly (Gong Li) for many years without any consideration in return. The images are gorgeous, full of texture and slightly sad. The story of "Balance" takes place in New York in the 1950s. Advertising agent Nick Penrose (Robert Downey Jr.) is always troubled by sexual dreams, so he has to seek help from his psychiatrist Pearl (Alan Arkin). Although the tone is absurd and abnormal, it can also be seen as a humorous comedy with a sense of self-deprecation. "Danger Line" is still the theme of the relationship between men and women in modern society that Antonioni has always been concerned about, and it has a strong philosophical flavor.
