Dolls

This film tells three poignant love stories intertwined according to the seasons. In the article "Burning Red Leaves", Sawako (Miho Kanno) was betrayed by her boyfriend Matsumoto (Hidetoshi Nishijima). Unable to bear the blow, she committed suicide by taking medicine and became an idiot. After Matsumoto learned about it on the wedding day, she felt guilty and ran away from the marriage, and began to tie him and Sawako together with a red rope to wander around the world. In the article "Summer's Blue Sea", the popular idol singer Kasugina (Kyoko Fukada) was disfigured in a traffic accident. In order to accompany her, her obsessed fans did not hesitate to destroy their eyes. In the article "Silent Snow Mountain", an old and sick gangster knows that his time is running out, so he revisits his old place on a whim. He discovers that despite the sea turning into ruins, his old lover is still waiting for him every Saturday with a packed lunch at the same time and place as she did decades ago.
