On a stormy night on June 2, 1996, a man fell to his death in a high-end apartment in Arakawa District, Tokyo. The apartment manager Sano Toshiaki (played by Ittoku Kishibe) and the resident Sato Yoshio (played by Shinya Owada) reported to the police as the first discoverers. According to the surveillance video and the testimony of another resident Kasai Mieko (played by Kumoto Masami), the Xiaosi family in Room 2025 has a major relationship with the incident. Unexpectedly, a bizarre situation occurred. There were three more corpses lying in Room 2025. They were neither members of Xiaosi's family nor had any blood relationship with each other. A clueless investigation lasted for three months. In front of the camera, people from all walks of life who were inextricably linked to the incident told the truth they knew. Countless fragments gradually pieced together the full picture of this bizarre murder... The film is adapted from the classic original work of the same name by mystery writer Miyuki Miyabe, who won the Naoki Prize. As many as 107 well-known actors came out. It was originally made into a TV movie by WOWOW and broadcast on this station, and was released in theaters a few months later.
