The years of youth are colorful and melancholy, while the adult world is full of loss and helplessness. The 15-year-old boy Pal (Rolf Sohlman) usually helps his father (Bertil Norström) in his garage. Occasionally, he and his family visit his lonely grandfather who lives in a nursing home. The girl Ann-Sofie Kylin has an arrogant father (Bertil Norström) who always fails to sell refrigerators, and an aunt (Anita Lindblom) who is beautiful but is too tall to become a flight attendant. The frustrations in these adults' hearts are far greater than what they gain in life. On the contrary, Pal and Anijia, who are in adolescence, are restless and unrestrained. The two children met at an open-air party in the nursing home and slowly came together. Pal was beaten by the older child and pretended to ignore Anika, but could the fireworks of youth be extinguished? They finally reconciled and tasted the youthfulness and sweetness brought by the fruit of childish love... The film was nominated for the Berlin Film Festival's Golden Bear Award and the International Critics Award, the UNICRIT Award, the IWG Golden Plaque Award, and the Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden.
