The story takes place in Kobe / which is adjacent to the sea. There is an old-fashioned Western building at the top of the ramp / in which lives the somewhat maverick clothing tailor Ichie (played by Miki Nakatani). Ichijiang runs a tailor shop inherited from his grandmother. When her grandmother was still alive / she adhered to the concept of "sewing clothes for people to wear for a lifetime" / and the painstaking efforts and soul of the maker were condensed in every stitch. Meticulously following in the footsteps of her grandmother / Ichie is passionate about resizing clothes passed down from generation to generation while refusing to brand the craft. Fujii (played by Takahiro Miura) / a staff member of the local department store / visits him again and again / hoping that Ichie can authorize the clothing to be put on the market. Perhaps out of respect for his grandmother / his piety for this craft / or the hidden uneasiness and fear in his heart / Ichijiang was unable to take this important step for a long time... This film is adapted from the original work of the same name by Aoi Ikebe.
