The story follows the first part and tells the story of five teenagers, Rentaro Futaba (played by Jun Matsumoto), Haruhiko Takada (played by Satoshi Ohno), Takuma Onda (played by Ninomiya Kazuya), Tadashi Kamogawa (played by Sho Sakurai) and Shun Okano (played by Masaki Aiba), who each start their own life path after graduating from high school. One day after three years apart, several people reunited by chance. Takuma Onda, who was engaged in music activities in the United States, suddenly returned to Japan, but Rentaro Futaba's whereabouts were unknown. The four people who met together again returned to the Bayan residential area where they rented together at the time. However, things have changed, and fierce disputes have arisen between a self-governing group that is planning to build a new high-end residential city and residents who oppose the reconstruction. The youth film "Life is Hard, So Be Happy" directed by Japanese director Yukihiko Tsutsumi stars the five-member Japanese idol group Johnny's idol group Arashi.
