Surveillance

Ludvik was a civil servant in the Czech government during the Iron Curtain period. One night he and his wife attended a banquet hosted by the government. At the banquet, he learned that his immediate boss had been arrested by the secret police. He was afraid that he would be implicated. When he returned home, he found that there was an inexplicable power outage at home, and there were signs of someone coming in at the door. Even the phone seemed to be in trouble.
