South Africa in the 1950s was the period when the apartheid system was being implemented. The film tells the story of the special emotions between a woman named Miriam (played by Lisa Ray) and a woman named Amira (played by Sheetal Sheth) in such a special era. Miriam's married life was not happy. She found out that her husband was having an affair with his sister-in-law, so she had no choice but to endure it. Until Amira, dressed in denim, appeared in her repressed and strict life, the two beautiful women fell in love at first sight. Amira, who has a rebellious spirit, is a staunch opponent of the apartheid system, and this is what attracts Miriam. The subtle and delicate emotions between the two women are reflected in every frivolity of the fingertips and every gaze in the eyes. They transcend not only gender barriers, but also racial barriers. The film was adapted and filmed by director Shamim Salver based on his own novel of the same name.
