The film tells the story of a father and son who are in a hostile relationship. Both father and son worked at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, they were both experts on Talmud, and both were eccentrics with their own personalities and quirks. Because the father and son had too great differences in dealing with honor and academic issues, the conflict between the two scholars arose that had long transcended the relationship between father and son. The son is a contemporary scholar who likes to pursue fame and fortune, while his father is a very serious and conservative classical scholar. Under his father's majestic appearance, he is actually a man who longs for recognition and recognition. The conflict between father and son has never been made public or expanded. However, when the Israel National Prize was about to be awarded - the highest award for scholars in Israel - the conflict between father and son finally broke out, which was a distressing and fruitless confrontation.
