Flower Warrior

About three hundred years ago, in the fifteenth year of Genroku (1702), the fifth-generation general Amikichi implemented the policy of peace and stability for the people, and the people's lives were stable. The young samurai Sozaemon Aoki (played by Junichi Okada) stayed away from his hometown and came to Edo from Shinshu in order to find his father-killing enemy Kanazawa Jubei (played by Tadanobu Asano). But his swordsmanship was poor, and he was actually unable to complete his revenge. Sozaemon settled in a dilapidated hut and opened a small private school to make a living. Sozaemon had a secret love for the beautiful widow Sae (played by Miyazawa Rie) who lived opposite. Later, Zongzuo found Kanazawa, but his enemy had put down his murderous knife and lived an ordinary life with his wife and children. Zongzuo began to think about what revenge meant. On the other side, the warriors of the Ako Domain came to lurk in this area, waiting for an opportunity to avenge the lord who committed seppuku.
