Heroes Are Speechless

This film is a tribute film to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The film is based on the revolutionary heroic deeds and emotional fate of Xiang Yunian, an outstanding son and daughter of our party in western Fujian, and his wife. It uses deep and intense writing to describe a group of revolutionary heroes who fought bloody battles in the arduous revolutionary war. It reveals a little-known secret obtained by the Red Army about the Kuomintang army’s fifth encirclement and suppression plan for the Central Soviet Area, and reproduces an important period of history during China’s Agrarian Revolutionary War. The film strives to break the previous shooting model of films with revolutionary historical themes and embodies the creative intention of "good-looking, real, revolutionary content". The protagonist Tong Ge was a member of the "Special Branch" of the Communist Party of China in the 1920s and 1930s. He once dealt with Bai Xin, the former secretary of the Central Military Commission who betrayed Peng Pai and other revolutionary leaders. He also risked his life to send important information to the Ruijin Central Red Army about the fifth siege of the Ruijin Revolutionary Base by Chiang Kai-shek's mobilization party, which enabled the Red Army to successfully break out of the encirclement. The protagonist Tong Ge, as a lone hero under special circumstances, used his unswerving loyalty to the party and the revolutionary cause and his deep love for his wife and daughter to compose a heroic song of blood and fire, love and tears for the world.
