In the ancient and vast African continent, an extremely cruel custom has been passed down for thousands of years. Girls here must undergo circumcision when they reach a certain age. The so-called circumcision is to cut off part or all of a woman's clitoris and labia minora, and then sew them up with ordinary needles and threads or thorns. There is no anesthesia and disinfection measures during the whole process, which makes the recipient extremely painful and bears the risk of tetanus infection, AIDS infection and even death. Kerry (Fatoumata Coulibaly) is a smart and virtuous woman who still remembers the painful experience of being circumcised when she was young, and in the following decades, she suffered all the time from the mental and physical torture caused by the wound. Kerry did not want his daughter to endure such suffering again, so he stopped at all costs to prevent his daughter from being circumcised. Her actions were questioned and blamed by the villagers, and the pressure from the surroundings increased...
