Shakespeare Actor

The story follows a British family theater troupe living in India. They toured towns and villages performing Shakespeare's plays. Through their journey, the audience sees the face of India changing as the old is replaced by the new, Maharajas become hoteliers, sports become more important than cultural events, and traditional theaters are replaced by Bollywood films. The film is adapted from the travel notes of Geoffrey Kendal and his daughter Felicity Kendal.
