Jeffrey (Kyle MacLachlan) In order to take care of his father, he returned to his long-lost hometown town. Unexpectedly, a murder case surfaced by accident. Jeffrey met the police officer Williams (played by George Dickerson) who was responsible for investigating the case, and his daughter Sandy (played by Laura Dern). Sandy told Jeffrey that the truth about time may be related to a showgirl named Dorothy (Isabella Rossellini). The beautiful and mysterious Dorothy soon made Jeffrey lose his mind. He secretly sneaked into Dorothy's house and happened to discover the fact that Dorothy was being abused by a gangster named Frank (Dennis Hopper). At this time, Jeffrey began to realize that there were many dark and sinful terrible things happening outside his sight.
