The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man (John Hurt) ) is a born dysmorphic patient whose face looks like the face of an elephant, hence his name. The Elephant Man has been exploited by circus owners who are obsessed with profit, and has been taken to tours around the world, where he has suffered inhuman abuse. Celebrities would find it unbelievable what the Elephant Man has experienced, but the optimistic and strong Elephant Man has endured it. Until one time, the Elephant Man met a young British doctor (Anthony Hopkins). Out of compassion and a doctor's ethics, he signed an "adoption" agreement with the circus owner and brought the Elephant Man back to the hospital for research. In the hospital, Elephant Man felt the warmth of the world again, and the doctor also forged a deep friendship with Elephant Man. He could no longer bear to part with this "abandoned child of God." But the circus owner, who was driven by profit, took the Elephant Man back again. Will the Elephant Man's new life end here?
