Blue Kite 1993

From the perspective of "son" Tietou, this film recalls the images of three fathers (father, uncle and stepfather) and mother Chen Shujuan (Lu Liping) during several political movements in mainland China from 1953 to 1967. The initial memories of "father" Lin Shaolong (Pu Cunxin) were beautiful and innocent, but after he was classified as a rightist in the anti-rightist struggle, everything changed. The mother was anxiously waiting for the news that he was crushed to death by a falling tree; then, father's good friend Li Guodong (Li Xuejian) Uncle Li entered Tietou and his mother's life, "Uncle" He was a very good person, but he died of overwork during the Great Leap Forward. Soon after, his mother's third husband, a veteran cadre (Guo Baochang), became Tietou's "stepfather." Tietou didn't have any good impressions of him at first, but just as the two shook hands and made peace, his "stepfather" was criticized to death by the rebels during the Cultural Revolution, and his mother was also classified as a counterrevolutionary.
