Prove I Love You

Young Catherine (Gwyneth Paltrow) is experiencing a test in her life. She has to work and take care of her elderly father Robert (Anthony Hopkins) who is seriously ill. Although Robert was a famous mathematician, he became ill in his later years and was unable to take good care of himself. Robert still passed away, and Catherine was so sad that she closed herself up. Robert's student Hal (Jake Gyllenhaal) plans to find the math notes left by his teacher, which makes Catherine furious. Sister Claire (Hope Davis) hopes that sister Catherine can sell her father's house and live with her in New York. Because she felt that her sister might have inherited some of her father's illnesses, and she wanted to take care of her sister in time. Catherine didn't want to leave at all, and her relationship with Hal became complicated. Hal opened Robert's drawer with the key given by Catherine, and a mathematical manuscript appeared in front of him.
